Victory for Ancoats Residents in Dispensary Campaign

Residents have scored a major victory in their campaign supported by the Pirate Party to save Ancoats Dispensary .The application to demolish the historic building has been withdrawn by the owner Urban Splash. The Grade II-listed building has been the focus of an intense campaign of local people, led by the Save Ancoats Dispensary Group, to resist demolition. A huge thankyou to everyone who put their cross next to the Pirate flag in the local elections in Manchester. This took us to the party's best ever result. Loz Kaye polled 5% of the vote in Bradford ward ("holding the deposit") and beat the Liberal Democrats. So it's clear we can beat a party of government if we work hard enough.
