The Pirate Party in Manchester. Looking forward to the Ancoats and Clayton By-election, December 2013

Make It More Than One In Four

The wards where we are standing in Manchester only 1 in 4 people voted at the last local elections – that means just a few residents get to call the shots on the future of our city. It’s time to change that, so don’t lose your voice.

Check with the Council that you are registered to vote, you can apply to register up to April 18th for these elections. You can download a registration form from .

    Dear Pirate Party,

Please stand for elections in Salford, we need labour to lose its grip that it has had since the 1970’s. Salford is seen as an easy seat for labour and this needs to change.

    Kind regards,

    David Atkinson

Guerilla Policy Launch Open Space/ Cities / Housing @ Library Walk | Manchester | United Kingdom
In the Pirate Party we like to do things differently. So we’re launching our policy for the General Election on open space, cities, housing and heritage outside the shut off entrance to Library Walk in Central Manchester. We’ll share our policies and launch our campaign against developers who ruin our cities by keeping buildings empty. It’ll be part policy launch and part demonstration. Other than that anything might happen, after all G4S might swoop down on us. But that’s partly the point. Library Walk shows all that’s wrong in our city right now- the taking of public space, the attack on heritage, wasting public money when people are in housing need. Join us at 2pm. It’ll be a change from the same old same old from the big parties at least.
